Teaching Staff

Development of teaching and supervisory skills of the teaching staff

The level of teaching skills among the teaching staff is crucial for the professional competitiveness of higher education graduates. Teaching involves planning a study process, conducting teaching activities, assessment and giving feedback, supervising and reviewing, and methodological activities.

The purpose of this field of activity is to develop sustainable and high-level competence in higher education pedagogy and create lifelong learning opportunities for the teaching staff, which allow experienced teachers to support their junior colleagues.

Measures for attaining this goal:

  • establishing two training centres operated by the universities to provide additional training for teaching staff;
  • compiling and purchasing study materials on higher educational pedagogy;
  • developing the teaching competence of junior teaching staff with assistance from mentor teachers;
  • training the trainers of the teaching staff;
  • supporting e-Learning programmes for teaching staff and educational technologists.
