Teaching is learning

Quality of study

Development of a high-quality study system based on learning outcomes

For the success of a university graduate it is important that the tuition offered has clear aims, the acquired qualification is recognised by potential employers, and the curriculum considers the needs of the labour market, facilitates continued studies and takes account of the student’s prior skills and knowledge.

The aim of this field of activity is to support the high-quality implementation of outcome-based curricula, to analyse the compatibility between curricula and the issued qualifications as well as the potential for further study and cooperation, and to enhance cooperation with employers and the representatives of professional associations.

Measures for attaining this goal:

  • establishing a network of curriculum development consultants involving partners and various educational specialists to share experience and agree upon the priorities of activities;
  • providing training and support services for curriculum consultants;
  • carrying out self-assessment of higher education institutions to improve the quality of study;
  • cooperating in curriculum development by involving various educational institutions, professional associations and employers.

Programme Primus has 21 partners, including 19 Estonian institutions of higher education. Check the complete list from here.
