Conference theme
In today's Europe the quality of higher education receives a vast amount of attention. At the same time an important discussion revolves around meaningful teaching and learning. The teaching process has become more relevant, and in order to achieve high quality higher education, it is important to integrate research and teaching.
The aim of the conference University teaching as a scholarship is to develop willingness in university teachers to elaborate and explore their teaching skills. Throughout the conference topics related to the following two broad themes will be covered: the impact of university teachers on major processes in higher education; and the development of students, higher education institutions, the education sector, and the society.
The conference will give participants the opportunity to introduce their research and experiences on university teaching, and acquaint themselves to the work of others. Workshops will be dedicated to innovative, useful, and positive teaching experiences. Workshops by Baltic and Nordic university teachers and internationally recognised trainers will be held at the pre-conference.
